Somatic Experiencing® (SE)
A gentle, body-centered approach to healing trauma, stress disorders, and nervous system dysregulation—developed by Dr. Peter Levine through over 45 years of research and clinical application.
Rather than focusing on story, SE supports the body’s innate capacity to self-regulate, heal, and return to a natural state of balance. It is particularly effective for those navigating developmental, relational, or shock trauma, as well as chronic tension, overwhelm, and stress-related symptoms.
By slowing down and deepening your capacity to stay with sensation and emotion, this work helps your system renegotiate unresolved experiences held in the body—creating space for more presence, ease, and internal safety.
In each session, you are gently guided to listen to the body’s subtle cues and follow its instinctive impulse toward healing.
FORMAT & DELIVERY
Somatic Experiencing sessions are 60 minutes and available both in person and online (via Zoom). The pacing is collaborative and responsive—tailored to your unique needs and nervous system capacity.
Somatic touch work may be offered when appropriate, based on the nature of the session and your consent. While it’s not typically included in the first session, it remains an available and supportive option throughout the process.
